Focus on globalisation and sustainability: Odisha-based B-school head

As technology is playing a key role in the field of borderless trade, industries and B-Schools have to think seriously over the issues on globalisation, understanding sustainability and managing people along with the business, said Prof Ramesh Behl, Director of IMI on the sidelines of a two-day conference at Odisha capital which concluded today.

IBRCThe International Business Research Conference (IBRC) held at International Management Institute (IMI) here focussed on the requirement of cooperation, interface of the industries with business education institutes to work together for the innovation and excellence in the field of business.

While the conference was convened by Prof Santanu Das, Prof B Chhabra and Prof P Jindal, Dr D N Gupta, Special Secretary P&C department graced the occasion as chief guest.

The research papers from academicians, research scholars, students of well-known institutes of the country like IITs,   Symbiosis Institute, XIME, SP Pune University, Central University of Jharkhand, KIIT University, SOA University, ASBM, SGMI, IMIs along with Ethiopia & Mexican Universities were presented and discussed.

The research papers were mainly on emerging trends in Indian Financial System, Leveraging Human Resource, innovative practices in Supply-Chain management, corporate practices for competitive advantage and impact of IT in India industries.

In the concluding session five best papers of the conference were awarded.
