Foggy Saturday morning in Delhi, 37 trains delayed

New Delhi, Dec 27: Delhiites woke up to a chilly Saturday with the accompanying dense fog leading to the delay of over 37 trains.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 4.8 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season’s average.

The met department, however, forecast a clear day ahead.

Visibility at 8.30 a.m. was 700 metres.

An official of the Northern Railway said that at least 37 trains were running late while seven were rescheduled and one was cancelled.

“There was a dense fog in the morning, but the day will be mainly clear,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

The day’s maximum temperature is likely to hover around 17 degrees Celsius.

Friday’s maximum temperature was recorded at 17 degrees Celsius, four notches below the season’s average, while the minimum temperature was 6.3 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season’s average. (IANS)
