Follow 5Ts and get promotion: Odisha CM to officials

Bhubaneswar: Taking steps to ensure good governance with transparency, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today instructed officials to follow 5T formula while discharging duties and get promotion.

Chairing a meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan on implementation of ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative scheduled to be launched on Gandhi Jayanti, Patnaik said that the officials, who will work following 5Ts, will be elevated to upper ranks without any condition.

However, officials will face sudden demotion without any notice if they are found to be insincere in discharging their duties, the CM warned.

At the meeting, Patnaik held discussion with as many as 635 IICs (Inspector In-charge) through a video conferencing programme. He also interacted with Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy and senior police officials at Lok Seva Bhawan.

“When Odisha police could control Left Wing Extremism (LWE) from half the state to half a district, when the world appreciated Odisha for its professional policing during Hockey World Cup, when millions of crowd is handled every year during Rath Yatra, I am sure Odisha Police will set new standards of policing through ‘Mo  Sarkar’ keeping the citizen as our focus. This is the transformation we seek to achieve through ‘Mo Sarkar’.” said the CM

The CM had announced ‘Mo Sarkar’ programme during Independence Day celebration on August 15. The new initiative will commence from Oct 2. Under the programme, Patnaik will personally call up people to get their feedback on quality of service and responses they receive from police stations and hospitals.
