Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare department under Odisha’s ‘Mo Sarkar’

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today included the Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department under the purview of the ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative.

The State government launched the ‘Mo Sarkar’ programme on October 2, 2019, under which it takes feedback from beneficiaries. Ministers, senior officers talk to the beneficiaries over the phone and ensure that the welfare schemes are implemented in the grass-root level in letter and spirit.

In presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the Food Supplies department was brought under the ‘Mo Sarkar’ at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar. Among others, Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain, Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy, 5T Secretary VK Pandian and Development Commissioner Suresh Mohapatra were present during the programme.

Earlier, police stations, all the district headquarters hospitals, Housing and Urban Development, Agriculture and Family Welfare, Women and Child Development and Labour and ESI departments were included under the ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative.
