Footballer dies during match in Odisha

Mayurbhanj: In a tragic incident, a young football player died while playing a match in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Sumer Hansda of Nischintapur village under Tiring police station in Rairangpur block.

According to reports, a football match was going on at Bahalda High School field where the player collapsed before breathing his last.

The match was played between Chiriguda and Nischintapur village teams.

The match was stopped mid-way and a pall of gloom descended on the village after the unfortunate incident.
