Forest Ranger dies as elephant crushes him in Odisha’s Kalahandi

Bhawanipatna: A Forest Ranger died as an elephant crushed the official near Ratanpur village in Odisha’s Kalahandi district, today.

The deceased, identified as Narla Ranger Prashant Pal, was admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital, where he succumbed to injuries during treatment.

According to reports, a herd of elephants was creating havoc near the village. On being informed about the incident, Pal went to the place in the morning to drive away the pachyderms.

However, one of the elephants trampled him, leaving the official grievously injured.

Though he was rescued and rushed to the hospital, the official breathed his last while undergoing treatment.
