Bhubaneswar: Rajendra Kumar Das aka Raju Das, former legislator from Bhadrak district’s Dhamnagar Assembly segment, rejoined Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today, soon after quitting BJP in Odisha.
Das resigned from primary membership of the Bharatiya Janta Party earlier in the day. Das tendered his resignation letter to Odisha BJP unit president Manmohan Samal in this regard, ahead of simultaneous polls to Lok Sabha and Legislative Assembly in the State.
After much consideration and reflection Das felt, it is time for him to part ways with the party.
“I joined the party (BJP) with great enthusiasm and a sincere belief in its principles and values. However, I have witnessed the challenges posed by the lack of organisation decision within the party, despite our best efforts. While I respect the contributions and efforts of rest of the leaders and members, I believe that my continued membership in the party is no longer compatible with the above said reason. Please treat this letter as my resignation from all responsibilities within the party,” the letter read.
Worth mentioning, Das’s commitment to serving the public and advocating for positive change remains unwavering. He will continue to work tirelessly to uphold the principles of integrity, accountability, and transparency in all his future endeavors, the former MLA expressed in his letter.
BJP previously fielded Das from Soro Assembly segment, but denied him ticket again. Perhaps, he decided to quit BJP following the denial.
