Former Odisha MLA Nabin Nanda’s son passes away

Dhenkanal: Former BJD MLA Nabin Nanda’s elder son Sambit Nanda, who was also a youth activist, passed away while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Cuttack. He was 37.

Reportedly, Sambit was admitted to Ashwini Hospital in Cuttack on April 28 for treatment of lungs infection. However, he breathed his last around 12 noon today.

Earlier in the day, the Dhenkanal ex-MLA took to Twitter and shared a post about his son’s critical health condition seeking help for provision of ECMO treatment, which was not available at the hospital. He had tagged Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan , among others in the post.
