Former Odisha MLA was not missing, but arrested during raid in Kolkata

Kolkata/Bhubaneswar: The suspense over missing of former Dhenkanal MLA Nabin Nanda is now revealed. The politician was not missing, rather he was arrested during raid at a spa that was allegedly running a sex racket in Kolkata and later released on bail.

According to reports, police conducted raid on a spa located in Park Street area in Kolkata for allegedly running a brothel. Total 18 clients including Nanda and nine sex workers were arrested from the spa.

Notably, Nanda had gone missing from the hotel where he was staying during his visit to Kolkata. His eldest son Sambit Nanda confirmed the missing report to media earlier on Sunday.

Later, Nanda was found to be in his hotel room in Shakespeare Sarani in Kolkata, said Sambit.

Speaking to media over phone yesterday, Nanda said his mobile phone and wallet were stolen by pickpockets in the morning which is why he couldn’t contact his family members in Odisha.

He said he is all fine and would return to Bhubaneswar tonight.

However, his missing incident had a new twist with his arrest during the raid at SPA where he was present.
