Former Odisha MP Narendra Swain passes away

Bhubaneswar: Former Rajya Sabha MP from Odisha Narendra Swain has passed away. He was 81.

Swain breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a private COVID Hospital in Cuttack. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed grief over the demise of Swain.

The CM described Swain as a dedicated organiser and said the former parliamentarian will be remembered for his service towards the working community.

Patnaik conveyed his deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Swain was elected unopposed to the Upper House of the Parliament as a BJD candidate on December 7, 2015.
