Former ward member burnt to death in Odisha

In a shocking incident, charred body of a former ward member in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district was found in a mango orchard this morning.

According to reports, police recovered the half-charred body of Balia Soren – former ward member – from a mango orchard under Khunta police station limits with his limbs tied and face tied with a cloth.

Soren was the former member of Ward-8 of Badaliya Ghingasahi under Bholagadia panchayat in the district.

Police suspect it to be a pre-planned murder as the body was found with limbs tied and face wrapped up with a cloth.

Police have begun investigation into the incident. Scientific team and dog squad would be pressed into service to get further leads in the murder case.
