Four children among 35 test positive for COVID-19 in Cuttack city

Cuttack: Four children and three Corona warriors were among 35 persons who tested positive for novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Cuttack city in last 24 hours, informed Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) today.

Of the four children infected with COVID-19, two are seven-year-old boys, one five-year-old boy and another five-year-old girls from Old Rausapatna Containment Zone in Cuttack city.

Out of the 47 new positive cases reported today in Cuttack district, 35 cases are from Cuttack city, the CMC tweeted today.

Of the newly detected cases, six cases have been reported from institutional quarantine centres, three are local contacts and 26 are home quarantine cases.

With this, the number of cases in the city rose to 614. The number of active cases stands at 333 so far. A total of 273 recovered from the infection whereas eight people succumbed to the deadly virus.
