Four Educational Institutions of Odisha among India’s Top 100

Bhubaneswar: Four educational institutions of Odisha have made it to the list of top 100 higher educational institutions of the country, according to a countrywide government ranking which was released today.

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings have placed the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela at 32nd position while Bhubaneswar-based Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University secured 38th spot.

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar got 44th rank while the Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar secured 56th spot in the rankings.

This apart, other educational institutions of Odisha were also placed in the Top 100 list of other categories.

• University Category: Siksha `O` Anusandhan (20), KIIT (24), and Utkal University (96).
• Engineering Category: National Institute of Technology Rourkela (16), IIT Bhubaneswar (22), SOA (34), KIIT (42), and C. V. Raman College of Engineering (93).
• Management Category: Xavier Institute of Management (31), KIIT (32), and International Management Institute (63).
• Medical Category: SOA (23) and KIIT (32).
• Law Category: KIIT (12) and National Law University (14).
• Dental Category: SOA (12) and KIIT (17).

Union Minister of Human Resource Development, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, today released “India Rankings 2020” of Institutions of Higher Education in various categories on the basis of their performance on five broad categories of parameters– Teaching, Learning, and Resources (TLR), Research and Professional Practice (RP), Graduation Outcomes (GO), Outreach and Inclusivity (OI) and Perception (PR).
