Four graft-tainted cops in Odisha suspended under ‘Mo Sarkar’

Bhawanipatna/Bhubaneswar: Four cops of Kalahandi district were suspended under the Odisha government’s public feedback programme ‘Mo Sarkar’ for allegedly taking bribe.

As per reports, Jayapatna police station ASI Santosh Sahu took Rs 1,500, Constables Suryanarayan Mishra and Hemant Bag Rs 1,000 each and OAPF Debraj Naik Rs 500. The police personnel received the bribe from one Ghasiram Bag of Kapurmal village under Jayapatna police station to settle a land dispute.

Based on the complaint filed by the villager, the ‘Mo Sarkar’ programme under the Chief Minister’s 5T vision launched an inquiry and suspended the four cops from their duties.
