Nabarangpur:  In a tragic incident,  two children were killed while four others, including two kids suffered critical injuries after a goods-laden  pickup van rammed into a house at Jharabahal village under Chandahandi block in Nabarangpur district today.

As per sources a pickup van after loading potatoes, onions and groceries at Jharabahal village was going to a nearby market. However,  the driver lost control over the vehicle and rammed into a house on roadside. Following this, five members of a family- Manisha Gopal (27), Sachin (10),  Satikanta (9), Nandini (7) and Ashok (9) and one Damurudhar Hati (60), who had gathered around a bonfire outside the house, suffered critical injuries.

Damurudhar was a resident of Jamadarpada village and had come to Jharabahala to meet a girl for his son's marriage. The incident took place when he was about to return to his village this morning.

All the injured, were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, two kids succumbed to injuries at the hospital.
