Koraput: Patient care at the Saheed Laxman Naik Medical College and Hospital in Koraput district has been disrupted after four doctors of the hospital suddenly resigned from their duties citing non-release of their salaries.

Sources said four doctors of medicine department of the hospital today resigned without any prior notice and stayed back alleging that the College Dean has held their salaries even though they have discharged their duties sincerely.

Sources said the college Dean held salaries of four senior doctors- Sashibhusan Sutar, Gurupad Dash, Manoj Kisan and Swarna Sarit Sahu- after not finding attendance record of the medicos in the biometric machine of the hospital.

After knowing this, the four doctors sent their resignations to the Dean. Since the senior doctors mainly supervise the medicine department, their sudden resignation has crippled patient care at the hospital.
