Four migrant workers injured after bus overturns in Odisha’s Rayagada

Rayagada: As many as four migrant workers were injured after a bus they were travelling in overturned in Odisha’s Rayagada district today.

The bus carrying migrant workers from Boudh and Balangir districts was going towards Tamil Nadu. As the Centre lifted the lockdown imposed to contain the spread of COVID-19, the migrant workers were returning to their workplace in the bus.

But Driver of the vehicle lost control at the Gumma ghati on National Highway-326 in Rayagada leading to the road accident.

With the help of locals, the injured were admitted to a nearby hospital whereas other bus passengers were rescued unhurt from the overturned vehicle.

A total of nine migrant workers sustained injuries when a vehicle carrying labourers overturned at Gumma ghati in May.
