Four Odisha Corona warriors succumb to deadly virus

Berhampur: Amidst increasing number of coronavirus cases across Odisha, four COVID warriors succumbed to the deadly virus in Ganjam district.

“We lost our four Covid Warriors. Entire District Administration is with their families. We request all people in Ganjam to follow social distancing norms . By doing this you will help our covid warriors in fighting this war,” Ganjam administration tweeted today.

The district administration shared identities of deceased COVID warriors in a series of special messages.

A woman is among four Corona warriors died of COVID-19 while discharging her duty in fight against the deadly virus for mankind in the hotspot district.

The four martyrs are Bharati Swain, an Anganwadi worker of Kholakhali village under Buguda Block; Simanchal Satapathy, Junior teacher (contractual) posted at S Pankalbadi Primary School under Kabisuryanagar Block; P Suresh Kumar, Junior Engineer in Dharakote Block; Sudhartha Shankar Padhy, teacher at Raisingi UP School under Aska Block.

Expressing grief over the loss of four lives, Collector Amruta Kulange extended deepest sympathies to bereaved family members.
