Nayagarh: Police have rescued a girl and arrested four persons for allegedly attempting to abduct her while she was returning home in Rajpatana in Nayagarh district of Odisha on Friday.  The accused were identified as Jitendra Biswal, Kishore Chandra, Raghunath Pradhan and Santosh Dora.

As per reports, the victim was coming back home on her bicycle in Rajpatana on Friday when the miscreants halted her and dragged her inside a vehicle. They then fled the spot.

Police, on getting a tip-off, tracked the car which was heading towards Chandibasta and intercepted the vehicle.

While the girl was rescued, all four accused have been arrested. Investigation is underway and further details are awaited.
