Fourth phase of battle against COVID-19 in Odisha is crucial: Bagchi

Bhubaneswar: The fourth phase of Odisha’s fight against COVID-19 is the most crucial one. It will decide the future of the state as it is the fight between life and livelihood, said State Government’s Chief Spokesperson on COVID19  Subroto Bagchi.

“Return of foreign returnees was a challenge in the first phase while  Nizamuddin returnees and migrant returnees were major cause of concern in second and third phase, respectively” Bagchi said.

He added, “In the fourth phase, over five lakh migrants have returned to the state so far. In next 15 days, more people might get infected from the virus.”

With the beginning of monsoon in June, chances of people being infected with cold and flu will increase. As the Chief Minister has earlier said people should stay more careful and take proper precautions.

“We have to keep ourselves, our families and the society away from the deadly virus,” he added.

He further said, “In the first three phases of the fight against COVID-19 in Odisha, the government was the main crusader. But in the fourth phase, every individual is a fighter.”
