Freight train derails in Odisha’s Bhadrak, track damaged

Bhadrak: As many as eight wagons of a goods train derailed near Jijharpur under Tihidi police limits in Odisha’s Bhadrak district, today.

According to reports, the coal-laden freight train derailed around 6.45 am when it was heading towards Dhamra. The derailment has uprooted a portion of the railway track.

On being informed, Railway officials reached the spot and initiated probe to ascertain the reason behind the incident. Efforts were on to restore normalcy in movement of trains in the route and repair the damaged track.
