Fresh low pressure likely to trigger rainfall in Odisha from Aug 28

Bhubaneswar: A low pressure area is likely to form around August 28 under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over northwest Bay of Bengal off Gangetic West Bengal-Odisha coasts, which will trigger rainfall in Odisha, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted.

The cyclonic circulation over northwest Bay of Bengal off Gangetic West Bengal-Odisha coasts extending upto 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height persists. Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to form around 28th August,” a bulletin of the IMD said.

On the other hand, the Regional Meteorological Centre has issued ‘Yellow Warning’ for Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Dhenkanal, Khordha, Malkangiri, Koraput and Nabarangpur districts for August 28.
