Sources in the Higher Education department said a total of 95,258 seats and 45,971 seats have fallen vacant after the second phase admission in the Plus Two and Plus Three streams respectively.

As decided, there would be offline admission in these vacant seats.

Colleges in the village, block and NAC areas will take part in the admission process while students who have already taken admission, will not be allowed to take fresh admission.

Students, who will apply for fresh admission, have to give an undertaking at the time of admission that they would not take admission in other colleges after taking admission in the colleges they will apply for.

Students seeking fresh admission in vacant Plus Two seats will have to submit their original school leaving certificate while those seeking fresh admission in vacant Plus Three seats will have to submit original college leaving certificates at the time of admission which will be held as per the merit list.

The notification has made it clear there would be no participation of any self financing colleges in the fresh admission.
