Fresh spell of rain, thundershower likely in these Odisha districts from February 22

Bhubaneswar: With no significant synoptic system lying over the region, light rain or thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places over several districts of Odisha from February 22 onwards, India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar forecasted today.

In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD mentioned, “Minimum temperatures observed appreciable rise at a few places over the districts of North Interior Odisha, at one or two places over the districts of South Interior Odisha and no large change at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha. They were below normal at one or two places, markedly above normal at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha, appreciably above normal at many places over the districts of Coastal Odisha and at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha, above normal at a few places over the districts of Coastal Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha and normal at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha.”

Temperature forecast: No major change is likely in minimum (night) temperature at many places over the districts of Odisha during next 4 to 5 days.

The highest maximum temperature of 35.4°C was recorded at Bhawanipatna and the lowest minimum temperature of 14.8°C was recorded at Sundargarh in the plains of Odisha.

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha. Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Angul and Dhenkanal.

Yellow Warning (Be Updated)-

Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Cuttack, Khurda, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Boudh, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Kendrapara and Ganjam.
