Bhubaneswar: Due to the prevalent Monsoon Trough and Well Marked Low-Pressure Area, Thunderstorm with Lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Odisha from September 18. India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar today issued Yellow Warning for three days, i.e from September 18 to September 20.
In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD regional centre mentioned, “The Monsoon Trough now passes through Jaisalmer, Kota, the centre of Well Marked Low-Pressure Area over Westcentral Madhya Pradesh and neighbourhood, Pendra Road, Jamshedpur, Digha and thence east-southeastwards to Northeast Bay of Bengal and extends up to 3.1 Km above mean sea level.”
The highest maximum (day) temperature of 34.7oC was recorded at Chandbali and the lowest minimum (night) temperature of 22.0oC was recorded at Nabarangpur in the plains of Odisha.
