Fresh trouble for Varsha Priyadarshini as Delhi police summons actress over casteist slur

Cuttack: Fresh trouble seems to have mounted for Varsha Priyadarshini as Delhi police has summoned the actress following allegation of her casteist remarks on a staff of her husband Anubhav Mohanty.

If sources are to be believed the Delhi police has summoned the actress and her mother and niece for using casteist slur and misbehaving with a staff of the actor-turned-politician.

Though the incident occurred on July 9 in 2019, the Delhi police registered the case this month.

Moreover, a police team from the national capital had arrived in Cuttack on July 25 in this connection.

Sources said due to lack of cooperation from Purighat police, the team had to return to Delhi. After a while, the actress along with her elder sister reached Purighat police station here to receive the summon.

Sources said the actress might face a legal action if the allegation is proved true.
