Friends turn foes: Youth hacked to death during feast in Odisha’s Boudh

Boudh: A youth was allegedly hacked to death by two of his friends during a feast at Mallikapada village under Baunsuni police limits in Odisha’ Boudh district last night.

According to police sources, Ajit Pradhan (24), Miku Pradhan (24) and Sujit Pradhan (22) of the village arranged a feast last night. After having dinner, the three stayed at a place.

However, mutilated body of Ajit was found in a pool of blood this morning at the spot. Injury marks inflicted by axe was visible on the body. This apart, a motorcycle of the deceased was found in a torched condition near the body.

On being informed, police reached the village, seized the body and sent it for post-mortem. The two accused went absconding after the incident. The reason for which the duo took the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
