From ‘Mera Naam Joker’ to ‘The Body’, Chintoo entertained all till his last breath

Bhubaneswar: With the National Film Award for the Best Child Artist, his journey began in Bollywood.  He evolved from a ‘chocolate hero’ to a ‘legend’ giving many hits and melting many hearts. He had his shares of struggles,  walked his stairs of success and today,  he has gone for a final slumber.

Legendary actor Rishi Kapoor is no more.

At a time, when the entire nation, including the Bollywood fraternity had not recovered from the loss of versatile actor Irrfan Khan, who passed away yesterday after battling neuroendocrine tumor for two years,  today’s daylight flashed another devastating news.

Legendary Rishi Kapoor succumbed to cancer after a long battle with it. “Our dear Rishi Kapoor passed away peacefully at 8:45 am in hospital today after a two-year battle with leukaemia. The doctors and medical staff at the hospital said he kept them entertained to the last,” said his family.

Born on September 4, 1952, the heartthrob, the magnanimous actor, director and producer with spontaneous personality debuted in Bollywood in 1955 with ”Shree 420′ and worked until death had him part ways.
