Gaisilet police station IIC in Odisha Vigilance net over disproportionate assets

Bargarh: Odisha Vigilance officials today raided multiple places in connection with allegation against Birabar Bhagat, IIC, Gaisilet police station regarding possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The simultaneous searches were being carried out by two DSPs, 7 Inspectors, two ASIs, and other staff of the Vigilance Department on the strength of search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Sambalpur.

The searches were being conducted at the following places:

Residential building located at Anuguliapada, Sambalpur district.
Government quarters of the IIC located at Gaisilet, Bargarh district.
Office chamber of the IIC.
Farmhouse of the IIC located at Kabrapali village, Sambalpur district.

Till last reports came in, the searches were underway while the total value of his movable and immovable properties were yet to be calculated.
