Gambling dens busted in Odisha’s Berhampur, 95 held

Berhampur: Police busted multiple gambling dens in Odisha’s Berhampur town last night and arrested as many as 95 persons in this connection.

This apart, many mobile phones and Rs 4.25 lakh have been seized from the possession of the gamblers.

Cops had raided eight places in the town, including Shastri Nagar and Shanti Nagar, where the illegal activities were underway. Several businessmen and contractors are among the arrestees, reports said.

More than 30 cases pertaining to gambling in Berhampur have been registered in the recent past and over 300 persons have been arrested.
