Gangster Abu Salem gets life imprisonment

Mumbai, Feb 25:

Gangster Abu Salem was slapped with life imprisonment for killing Mumbai builder Pradeep Jain in March 1995 by a court here Wednesday.

Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam said that besides Salem, his associate and co-accused Mehndi Hasan, was also given life imprisonment in the sensational case.

Extradited from Portugal 10 years ago, Salem has also been fined Rs.200,000 by the Special TADA Court. (IANS)
