Ganja smuggler ends life at police station in Odisha's Koraput

Koraput: A person who was arrested over his involvement in smuggling ganja allegedly died by suicide at Jeypore Sadar police station in Odisha's Koraput district last night. The deceased has been identified as Gopalram Paswan (48).

According to reports, Paswan was arrested a couple of days ago for allegedly transporting around 850 kg of ganja in a truck from Malkangiri to Rajasthan. While being under police custody, he tore a blanket and used a portion of it to hang himself from the ceiling.

The body was recovered by the police for post-mortem. It will be handed over to the family members of the deceased, police sources said.
