Ganja worth over Rs 1 crore seized in Odisha’s Nayagarh

Nayagarh: A team of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Bhubaneswar, seized a huge cache of ganja worth over Rs 1 crore from a truck in Nayagarh district late on Friday night.

The officials detained the truck driver for interrogation in connection with the seizure of contraband.

Sources said that the ganja was being smuggled from Koraput to Bhubaneswar in the wood-laden truck.

Acting on a tip-off, the DRI officials with help of Nayagarh police stopped the vehicle on the National Highway-57 under Banigochha police limits and seized 39 sacks ganja from the truck.
