Ganja worth Rs 3 cr seized in Odisha’s Malkangiri; 15 arrested    

Koraput:  Busting a major inter-state ganja smuggling racket, Koraput police seized over 10 quintals of the contraband items worth around Rs 3 crore after conducting simultaneous raids in the district.

The cops also arrested as many as 15 members of the gang in this connection.

Acting on a tip-off, police conducted raid at four places and seized 10.5 quintals ganja from their possessions. The arrested persons are residents of Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, informed Jeypore SDPO Sagarika Nath.

The market value of the seized contraband is estimated to be around  Rs 3 crore, she added.
