Khordha: The number of casualties in cooking gas cylinder explosion at Gambharimunda village under Bampu police limits in Khordha district rose to four with the death of two more critically-injured today.

Reportedly, Buddhiram Barik and Prasanna Baral succumbed to burn injuries while undergoing treatment at AIIMS Bhubaneswar this morning.

Earlier on August 20, injured Kalucharan Panda and Pramod Baral died at the premier hospital.

Worth mentioning a LPG cylinder had caught fire inside the house of one Rabindra Sahoo at Gambharimunda village on August 19. When few neighbours rushed to the spot to douse the flames, the cylinder exploded leaving one from the family and six neighbours critically injured.

A day after,  Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced ex-gratia of Rs lakh for the kin of the deceased. He also directed concerned officials to provide better treatment to those critically-injured.
