General valuation of Plus Two papers in Odisha from Mar 26

The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Tuesday announced that the general valuation of the annual Plus Two papers of Arts and Commerce would begin from March 26 while online evaluation (e-evaluation) of Science papers would begin from April 6.

CHSE LOGOTalking to the media, CHSE chairman Prof Basudev Chhatoi said the first phase general valuation of Arts and Commerce papers and compulsory papers of English, MIL and optional papers of Science would begin from March 26 while the second phase valuation would begin from April 10. The valuation would be held in two phases in 50 centres.

To facilitate the examiners during valuation, the Council has decided to install air conditioners in each valuation centres. The examiners have been asked to remain at the respective valuation centes for five hours. Each examiner would conduct the valuation of 20 objective papers of 50 marks each and 15 subjective papers of over 50 marks each.

Each examiner would be paid Rs 10 for each objective paper and Rs 15 for each subjective paper, Chhatoi added.

He also informed that the e-evaluation of Science papers would begin from April 6 after the scanned of the answer sheets are completed and uploaded in the main server at the Nabakrushna Choudhury Centre for Advanced Studies.

“A two-day training would be imparted to the examiners who have been selected for e-evaluation have no experience at the evaluation centres for two days beginning from April 4 and 5. The evaluation would be held at 33 centres”, he said, adding that about 4000 examiners have been engaged for e-evaluation of nearly 4 lakh Science papers.

He also informed that the coding of all papers of Science and Commerce and English paper of Arts would begin from March 16.

Besides, the Council would inform the examiners about their place of evaluation in its website www.ori.nic.in/chseorissa very soon, Chhatoi said.
