Generous Anand Mahindra announces SUVs for these Indian players

Mumbai/Bhubaneswar: Identifying six Indian cricketeers, who played a key role in clinching the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, as an inspiration for others, Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra decided to gift SUVs to each of these players.

In a series of tweets, Mahindra stated he will gift THAR SUV each to Mohammad Siraj, Washington Sundar, Shubman Gill, T. Natarajan, Shardul Thakur and Navdeep Saini of Team India for their excellent performance during the Border-Gavaskar Test series against Australia.

Mahindra hailed the six players, who debuted in the India vs Australia series for their performance, and announced his decision to gift the THAR SUV out of his own pocket without letting Mahindra Group to bear the expenses.

“Six young men made their debuts in the recent historic series #INDvAUS (Shardul’s 1 earlier appearance was short-lived due to injury)They’ve made it possible for future generations of youth in India to dream & Explore the Impossible (1/3),” Mahindra tweeted.

Mahindra also stated the performance of the six players showed how to overcome all odds in pursuit of excellence.

“Theirs are true ‘Rise’ stories; overcoming daunting odds in the pursuit of excellence. They serve as an inspiration in all arenas of life. It gives me great personal pleasure to gift each of these debutants an All New THAR SUV on my own account—at no expense to the company (2/3),” another tweet read.

Mahindra further stated, “The reason for this gift is to exhort young people to believe in themselves & ‘Take the road less traveled.’ Bravo Mohammed, Shardul, Shubhman, Natarajan, Navdeep & Washington! I now plead with @Mahindra_Auto to get them their THARS on priority (3/3).”
