Get rewarded for reporting electricity theft in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: In a bid to curb electricity theft, Central Electricity Supply Utility of Odisha (CESU) has decided to reward people for reporting such cases, said Arun Bothra, CEO, CESU.

The official said that ten percent of the penalty amount will be given to the informer of the case. The identities of the informers will be concealed, he said.

Bothra further informed that SHG members will be allowed to collect electricity bills soon. Complaints on social media platforms will be emphasized, he added.
