‘Ghost Stories’ star cast fell ill after finishing shooting?

Mumbai: Paranormal activity has been a long-debated phenomenon across the world. While many believe in the existence of ghosts, several others believe in the mysterious presence of some spirits. Prior to the release of the horror film ‘Ghost Stories’, director Zoya Akhtar and actors Janhvi Kapoor and Vijay Varma shared their experiences shooting for the film.

In an interview during the promotion of the film, Janhvi said that she could feel something disturbing when she returned home after wrapping the shoot.

Vijay said, “It wasn’t really scary to be on set. But I don’t know why we all fell sick right after finishing the film”.

Echoing the same, Zoya revealed that she and some other crew members were hospitalized, Janhvi was not well and everyone else was food-poisoned. Later, Janhvi reasoned that it could have been because of the dust and the closed environment that they were shooting in.

However, on being asked about their reactions while watching or shooting horror films, the upcoming thriller’s star cast gave varied opinions. While Zoya and Vijay accepted that they still get scared, Janhvi said such films don’t affect her anymore.

‘Ghost Stories’ is slated for release on January 1, 2020, on Netflix. It is an anthology of horror films comprising four short films that are directed by Karan Johar, Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar and Anurag Kashyap.  The directors have teamed up for the second time after the success of their collective directorial in Lust Stories.
