Bhubaneswar: Probing into the death of a girl inside a hotel room in Odisha capital, the Twin City Commissionerate Police today received the Call Detail Record (CDR) of the deceased's telephone number.
The CDR, comprising information about incoming and outgoing calls on the number for the last two months, will aid the investigators to ascertain the persons with whom the girl had conversation before her death.
Police have questioned her two male friends-- Sanjay and Anil-- in connection with the death.
Deceased Subhalaxmi Sahu, who was a +2 student of Kamala Nehru Women's Higher Secondary School in the city, had checked into room no. 205 of Hotel Deepali here on August 4 afternoon. Next day, she was found hanging with a dupatta inside the room.
The post-mortem of the deceased revealed that the death is suicidal while the viscera report was awaited.
As per the autopsy report, she breathed her last due to asphyxiation around 24-36 hours before the conduct of the post-mortem. While the body bore ligature mark, there were no injury marks on other parts of the body, the report said.
While it is being suspected that she was administered intoxicants, the viscera report is expected to bring the truth to fore.
On the other hand, it is being alleged that Subhalaxmi was temporarily staying at a house of her distant relative in the city while the relative was blackmailing her with an objectionable video.
However, the relative of Subhalaxmi refuted the allegations saying that he only took her to the bar of the hotel as she requested him to find a job for her.
He further said that a dispute was prevailing between the girl and her boyfriend.
