Baripada: Hours after Cuttack-Bhubaneswar Twin City Police Commissioner YB Khurania revealed that a video showing a girl being being stripped naked by a group of youths was shot in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj, an FIR was lodged in this regard here today.

According to police, the victim’s father has lodged a complaint at Sadar police station in the district.

“The video was shot at Jyotipur in Baripada in the month of April. Three youths were involved in the crime,” said Baripada SDPO Abhimanyu Nayak by adding investigation is on to nab the accused.

After the video went viral on social media, it was speculated that the incident took place in Khandagiri area of Bhubaneswar but Khurania cleared the air this morning.

The video shows the victim was evidently forced by the group of youths to remove her clothes following which they recorded the incident on mobile phone and also clicked some photos. Though, the girl initially opposed the act but in vain. Another youth, who appears to be her friend, was seen witnessing the ordeal helplessly.
