At least three persons, including a girl student, were injured in Kendrapara district of Odisha after a pressure cooker exploded on a school premises today.

According to reports, a pressure cooker went off at Haladia Upper Primary school under Derabish block in the district while mid-day meal preparations were underway.

Cook Debaki Behera, her assistant Mitati Sahoo and a class-V student were injured in the explosion.

The injured have been admitted to the district headquarters hospital.
