Girl student commits suicide in Odisha

Angul, Feb 13:
A class-IX girl student of Odisha’s Angul High School committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling in her house on Thursday.

As per the complaint filed by the kin of the deceased with the police, she took the extreme step after being punished by the Physical Education Teacher (PET) of the school.
Family sources said, the girl, after her return from the school, went to her room to change clothes. As she did not come out of the room, the family members broke open the door and found her hanging on the ceiling with her dupatta.
Following information, police rushed to the spot and sent the body for post mortem. Police also seized a suicide note of the deceased from the room
