Girl student found hanging at Shree Jagannath Sanskrit University’s hostel in Puri

Puri: A girl student was found hanging at a hostel of the Shree Jagannath Sanskrit University in Odisha’s Puri, today.

The deceased has been identified as Pragnya Paramita Parida of Banki area. She was a First Year PG student of the varsity.

The body was found hanging from the ceiling of a hostel room with a rope.

On being informed, police reached the spot, recovered the body and started an investigation to ascertain the circumstances under which she died.

Though the reason behind the death was yet to be known, it is being suspected that she took the extreme step of ending her life by hanging herself.
