Girl student of residential school found pregnant in Odisha’s Kandhamal
Phulbani: A class-IX girl student of a residential school in Baliguda area of Odisha’s Kandhamal district was allegedly impregnated by a 40-year-old man.
According to reports, the accused had established physical relation with the girl, a student of Lankagarh Ashram School under Belghar police limits in the district, on the pretext of marrying her.

The incident came to fore after detection of the victim’s pregnancy. Family members of the girl had lodged an FIR in this regard at the Belghar police station.
Acting on the complaint, police have arrested the accused while the girl has been sent for medical examination.
