Global apparel conglomerate MAS Holdings keen on opening unit in Odisha
The company supplies products to some of leading apparel brands including Nike, Decathlon, Jockey, Calvin Klein and Marks & Spencer.
Bhubaneswar: MAS Holdings, a global apparel conglomerate, has expressed its interest to set up an integrated textile and apparel manufacturing facility in Odisha.
This was revealed during the meeting of Mahesh Amalean, the Chairman of MAS Holdings, with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the latter’s residence here today.
Amalean informed Patnaik about the portfolio of his company and showed keen interest to invest in Odisha, said the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) in a statement.
The proposed integrated textile and apparel manufacturing unit in Odisha can provide employment to at least 5,000 people.

The Chief Minister assured all possible support to the company for its project in the state.
“The state government is mulling to invite MAS Holdings to set up its textile unit in Khurda region. The government will provide land and the required industrial ecosystem for the project,” said the CMO.
MAS Holdings is a top global apparel company providing high-end solutions for world’s leading apparel brands.
Headquartered in Sri Lanka, the company had 53 manufacturing units in 16 countries providing employment to about one lakh people.
The company has design and development hubs in New York, London, Hong Kong and Colombo.
It supplies products to some of leading apparel brands including Nike, Decathlon, Jockey, Calvin Klein and Marks & Spencer.
