GoAir introduces two new  aircrafts

Mumbai: Aiming at further network expansion, GoAir airline has recently introduced two new aircrafts to its fleet, the company said in a release.

Considered a rare twin delivery in the history of Indian aviation, the new A320neo aircrafts have been received from Germany’s major port Hamburg and France’s Toulouse.

The airline operates over 325 daily flights connecting 24 domestic and seven international bases. With the two new aircrafts, it plans to start operating to its eighth in international and 25th domestic destination on regulatory approvals.

“The induction of twin aircrafts in the GoAir fleet is in sync with our strategy of aggressive growth and expansion of our network,” said Jeh Wadia, Managing Director of GoAir.

He also informed that the new addition will offer greater flexibility to add new routes- Aizwal and Singapore and cater seasonal demand.

Doubling its fleet in less than two years, Mumbai based GoAir has been recognized as India’s fastest-growing airline. According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation data, GoAir’s cancellations are the lowest in the industry at 0.4% against the industry average of 1.5% between April and August. With its reliability and smart fares, it has achieved an average load of 90.8%, comparatively more than the industry average.

The private air carrier operates in Ahmedabad, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kochi, Kolkata, Kannur, Leh, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Port Blair, Pune, Ranchi and Srinagar. GoAir flies to 7 international destinations, including Phuket, Male, Muscat, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Bangkok and Kuwait routes.
