Gold biscuits, Rs 16 lakh recovered from WESCO accountant’s house in Odisha

Balangir: Odisha Vigilance officials today recovered gold biscuits and Rs 16.32 lakh from the residence of Bibhuti Shankar Bindhani, Junior Accountant, WESCO, Balangir.

Acting on allegation against Bindhani regarding possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, the Vigilance officials carried out simultaneous searches at his residence near Circuit House here and his office in Palace Lane here.

Apart from cash of Rs 16.32 lakh, gold ornaments and gold biscuits were also recovered by officers of the anti-corruption agency during the raids, which were underway till last reports came in.
