Golden Triangle International Film Festival to kick off from Feb 23

The 2nd Golden Triangle International Film Festival (GTIFF) is set to begin from Feb 23 in Odisha capital.

The four-day event will be held at Idcol Auditorium featuring 37 films in 11 languages.

Eminent Bollywood playback singer Vinod Rathod will attend the inaugural ceremony of the festival in the state capital, sources said.

The films will be screened at GTIFF from 10 am to 10 pm on Feb 23-26 at Idcol Auditorium in Bhubaneswar. 37 films including feature and short films out of 67 have been nominated for the mega film event. The films of Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Kirgizstan, Russia and Bangladesh will be showcased at the film festival. Besides, Tamil, Bengali, Marathi and Odia films will be screened at the event, said GTIFF president Priya Ranjan Sahoo yesterday.

The awards will be presented to the films in five categories. While Rs 40,000 cash prize will be presented to the Best Feature film, the Best Short film will receive Rs 10,000, the Best Director, Best Actor and Best Actress will be awarded Rs 10,000 each at the award function.
