Bhubaneswar: The Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha today announced the extension of Gondwana Express train to Sambalpur in Odisha.

With the announcement, the train number 12410 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Raigarh Gondwana Express will run upto Sambalpur via Jharsuguda Road.

Besides, Sambalpur-Shalimar weekly express via Talcher will run three days a week.

During Sinha's visit to the State to attend a programme in Bhubaneswar, he also announced stoppage of 10 more trains at various railway stations in Odisha.

Here's the list of trains to have additional stoppage at major stations under East Coast Railway (ECoR) division.

1 - Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express (20817/18) at Dhenkanal Railway Station.

2- Howrah-Satya Sai Nilaya Prashanti Express (22831/32) at Balasore Railway Station.

3 - Haladia-Madras Superfast Express (22613/14) at Balasore Railway Station.

4 - Howrah-Kanyakumari Express (12665/66) at Bhadrak Railway Station.

5 - Purulia-Villupuram Express (22605/06) at Jaleswar Railway Station.

6 - Paradip-Puri Express (18413/14) at Kanas Road Railway Station.

7 - Howrah-Puri Express (12821/22) at Markona Railway Station.

8 - NDLS-Puri Neelachal Superfast Express (12875/12876) at Dhanmandal Railway Station.

9 - Kendujhargarh-Bhubaneswar Passenger Train (58425/58426) at Dhanmandal Railway Station.

10 - Barbil-Puri Passenger Train (18415/16) at Kanas Road Railway Station.

The date of extension and stoppages of trains will be notified shortly.

Besides, Sinha announced increase in frequency of Sambalpur-Howrah Express via Angul and Bhadrak from weekly to tri-weekly.

During his visit to Odisha, the union minister laid the foundation stone of New Escalator at Bhubaneswar Railway Station and dedicated Escalator and Foot Over Bridge at Brahmapur Railway Station and Passenger Amenities and improved Circulating Area at Talcher Railway Station through video conferencing from Railway Auditorium at Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar, in presence of Union Petroleum & Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

He also dedicated 280 Rural Wi-Fi Hotspots and Wi-Fi Choupal Project of Common Service Centre (CSC) for 100 Gram Panchayats of Jagatsinghpur district of Odisha, 400 numbers of 2G based Transmission Stations and 480 numbers of 3G based Transmission Stations, Comprehensive Pearl Archive Network for 708 sites and Multi-Protocol Lable Switching Transport based Packet Aggregation Network (MNH-PAN) of BSNL.

Sinha unveiled some CSR related projects pertaining to Deogarh like laid foundation stone for Community Centre for Culture at Deogarh Town, Developmental Works in Deogarh Panchayat High School at Adas & Primary School at Deogarh and also inaugurated Public Park at Purunagarh in Deogarh, Developmental work of Bania Sahi Primary School.

He handed over Sanitary Napkin Manufacturing machines donated by Central Government PSUs like Nalco, NTPC and Oil Companies to Common Service Centre and witnessed the signing of MoU between Marketing Companies and CSC Group.
